The name
Every August the lake turns to salt.
The lakes at Larnaca and Limassol dry down to a white crust by midsummer, and the flamingos leave for the year. It is the flattest, brightest thing on the island.
We named the shop after it because that is the register we work in: pale, plain, a little mineral.
